Thanks to the extremely kind generosity and support from Taylor Stevenson, we were able to treat 16 people to an evening watching Doncaster Rovers in their executive box and hospitality 🤝

The 16 people were either volunteers who help a lot at our sessions to make sure they’re run and managed smoothly, people going through a difficult time and needing a lift, or people who attend MHFC sessions and are huge DRFC fans but haven’t had the chance and might not get the chance to experience a match day in an executive box or hospitality.

The evening was filled with socialising, chat, laughs, smiles and just great vibes, it was a fantastic atmosphere, and you could see and hear how much people were enjoying it.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their pre-match meals, which as you can see from the photos, it looked and tasted extremely good.

Everyone had such a fantastic time, and that especially showed with the messages I received afterwards of gratitude from those that attended.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to Taylor Stevenson for this incredible donation and opportunity, we appreciate it so much.

The match tickets, meals and 6 spaces in hospitality parking were included 🤯

The majority of the people who joined us were volunteers who help run and manage MHFC sessions, it’s extremely important to me to thank and reward the volunteers as much as I can, without them, MHFC wouldn’t be what it is today.

The more you show gratitude, reward people and value their opinion, the more they’ll want to help, support and do stuff for MHFC, this is key as we look to expand and help even more people 🙌

Let’s hope it’s just the start for 2026 🤞

Thanks as always to DRFC for hosting us and the great hospitality.

On a personal anxiety note…. It was the first night match I’d been to for years, and although I was looking forward to attending, I was anxious about it being at night and me having to wait all day for it, with the anxiety building.

With events and organising stuff like this, I’d much rather it be as early in the day as possible so I don’t have the anxiety building throughout the day, and I can get stuck into the event straight away.

Around dinner time, my anxiety was unfortunately getting quite bad, but I managed to calm myself with the help of some tablets.

As I travelled and waited in the car for the doors to open, I was fairly relaxed, but all throughout the evening and match I just couldn’t fully relax, I was just constantly trying to make sure everyone had a good time and I felt it was slightly more difficult as it was 16 people instead of 9, and especially as it was a thank you for their help, not relaxing only made my anxiety and head worse.

We had a few huge Rovers fans with us, and I was hoping to get some player appearances for them at the end with the man of the match presentation, but unfortunately it didn’t go ahead due to no sponsor, so I was gutted for them and it brought more anxiety on, but I understand from the Club side.

With it being at night, it was so difficult to relax and calm down for bed, and this is when tension headaches strike, due to not being able to relax all night and the late event, I unfortunately woke up with a bad tension headache and I almost wasn’t able to take my daughter to school and that’s what put’s me off night events, as it affects other people if I struggle to take my daughter to school.

BUT I was able to calm myself down enough to be able to take her.

Hopefully, it hasn’t affected my confidence for future night events.

Not only are these events great for MHFC and the people that attend, but it’s also good for me to be able to test and push myself and hopefully improve my mental health so I can do more not just with MHFC but personally with family.

‘MHFC EXPERIENCES’ and ‘MHFC SURPRISES’ are something we hope to do more of in the future, it could be tickets to a game, hospitality, meet and greet, signed merch, stadium tour, or anything else we could sort for the MHFC community members or anyone else we hear about.

The more we can do for people, the better and give as many different people as many different opportunities and experiences as possible to give them a mental boost 🤞🙏

Maybe something they’ve never been able to attend before, but we can give them that opportunity 💚

‼️If anyone has any links or contacts to people at sports clubs that could help us provide these experiences, please get in touch 😊
